I want to dedicate this episode to the lovely Apostle Shirley Pace, a great woman of God, who joined the Lord in November 2024 and, on her deathbed, blessed me with a prophecy that edified my soul. As she told me, “Always be yourself, Dr. Lara. You bring light to the darkness in this world. Continue to be that pillar of light in this world by speaking God’s truth. Continue to bring healing to His people. You are a bold and courageous woman of God, don’t let anyone tell you differently.” I love her! She gave me the courage to share this.
In this episode, we will discuss why you are not healing and how your doctor may be approaching your health concerns incorrectly. Often, if not most of the time, doctors do not address a person’s mental/emotional health, the trauma they have experienced, and the soul healing that needs to happen. It is not completely their fault; they are not trained to handle all that. The healthcare system is divided, and everything is compartmentalized into categories, separate from one area to another.
I will share what Craniosacral Therapy is, how it works, and what conditions it benefits. Most importantly, I will share how God has used this tool to help me see the deeper wounds a person needs healing for. I will also discuss Somato-emotional release/healing and how emotions stay stuck in our bodies.
I will discuss how the soul is fractured and how the need to restore the soul can only come from the Creator of the soul. While there are things that science can’t prove about the spirit and soul, the Scriptures in the Holy Bible can help us understand God better. Scriptures referred to: Proverbs 12:23, Proverbs 18:14, Psalms 34:1,8 Psalms 38:,8 Hebrews 4:12 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23
Podcast 42 Transcript
Welcome to Physician Heal Thyself, the podcast empowering you to take a whole-person approach to your well-being, spirit, soul, and body. Join me, your host, Dr. Ana Lara, a naturopathic doctor, entrepreneur, and a servant of Jesus Christ. We are not just a body; we are spirit and soul. It’s time to integrate medicine and spirituality into our healing. Let’s get started. Hey, welcome back to Physician Heal. They solved the podcast. I hope you enjoyed the last episode. Today I want to transition into a topic that I think will bring a lot of information and healing to people, but I want to talk about the reason why you’re not healing and what something that your doctors are not going to talk to you about that I really believe is why people are not really leading into really healing through things, right? In this conversation, I’m going to talk about a couple of different things, including Craniosacral Therapy.
The reason I did the last episode in talking about my stories is that I really want you to understand that while I do believe in God, and I believe in Jesus, and I believe in the Holy Spirit, I did not grow up as a very religious person. Jesus came to break religion and restore the relationship that men and women have with God. During the time that he came, there were a lot of laws, a lot of rules that the Jewish people had to follow, and they were missing the point. They were missing the mark of being in a relationship with God, and people were abusing their situation. The leaders were abusing the situation and doing something that they shouldn’t have been doing. So he came to restore that relationship with humans. So I believe in that. I believe in a relationship with God.
I do believe that the community is really important to help us along in our life, but I don’t believe that there are certain things that we should limit ourselves to, that we should really rely on the word of God for his teachings. In this episode, I originally intended to talk about Craniosacral Therapy, but as I started to really work through this, I started to uncover that it’s really beyond the therapy. The therapy is just a tool, but what I see it doing in people and the transformation that it’s bringing, there’s a reason for that. So, we’re going to talk a little bit about the therapy, and then I’m going to talk about some of the imbalances that people face, physically, mentally, emotionally, and then the impact that emotions have on their health. We’re also going to talk about what the spirit and soul are.
I’m not saying it because I’m an expert. I want to talk about these things because there are just some things that science can’t quite prove yet, and we get those mysteries from God, and they’re in the Bible. But also, if we have a really close relationship with God, he will show us in our lifetime what he’s talking about in his word, in his teachings. I want to talk about Craniosacral Therapy because I truly believe that God has used this therapy as a way to really try to get in and help people in a different way. Cranial psychotherapy is not energy medicine. I get a lot of Christians who think it’s energy medicine, and it’s not. It’s a hands-on, very gentle manipulation that’s happening to structure such as fascia, which is soft tissue, muscles, and bony structures, whether it’s in the cranium or throughout the body and the nerves.
The nervous system is involved in this. It’s releasing tension that’s deep in the body that oftentimes people are not aware that they’re carrying the tension there until I put my hands there. Then, they start to feel some pain or discomfort. This technique was developed by an osteopathic physician named Dr. John up Ledger, who has passed away for several years. But he did a lot of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University, where he served as a professor of biomechanics. It was there in his studying and researching that he found that the craniosacral system, which is composed of the dura mater that surrounds the brain, encapsulates the brain, and protects it. There’s a fluid in there called cerebral spinal fluid. It’s made in the brain in between the hemispheres of the brain, and it nourishes and protects the brain, but it also goes along the spinal cord.
Is it like an epidural? They’re going into this space. If they do a spinal tap, this is the area that they’re going to take some of that fluid out to see if there’s encephalitis or meningitis and people. So, fluid has a certain movement in the body, and you can feel that movement in the body the same way that if you go to your radial nerve, you can feel a pulse. If you put your hands on your neck on the carotid artery, you can feel a pulse there. There’s a pulsating movement that the cerebral spinal fluid creates as it moves through the brain and nourishes the spinal cord. This part of our body is very important because the brain is obviously processing a lot of information. It’s receiving and sending information through the spinal cord.
You have nerves that are leaving the spinal cord to innervate to send information to the rest of the body. We have nerves in our hands and feet. All of our bodies have nerves, and there are some that are small and some that are bigger. All of that is a combination of our central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. This is sending information and that energy, it’s an electrical type of energy, very electrical. You can feel it in people’s bodies. Typically, I have a patient lay on my massage table, and I do an assessment to see what their nervous system is doing. Now, if I put my hands on their feet, on their knees, on their thighs, on their pelvis, and I feel like a lot of electrical movement, I know that their nervous system is off, they’re wired up. That’s not normal.
You shouldn’t be wired up. Either because it’s stress or not sleeping, there’s chronic disease or they have too much energy drinks or caffeine, either way, it’s stimulating, overstimulating their nervous system, and you can feel it on their feet, what’s going on up in their head. So through a session, I’m laying my hands, and I’m assessing certain movements, and it’s very gentle releases that I’m doing. Like I said, it could be bony structures, it could be fascia, it could be muscles, it could be the nerves themselves, but people usually feel very relaxed. My goal is to put that person in a parasympathetic state, which means they’re relaxing. Oftentimes they fall asleep or they’re somewhere in the InBetween, they’re asleep, but alert. We’ll talk about what else is going on in that process. But some of the conditions that craniosacral therapy can address, and these are just a few because it does a lot, a lot more, is people with concussions, traumatic brain injuries, migraines or headaches, any pain, whether it’s back pain, neck pain, any pain in any muscle, any stress or tension in the body, it’ll help any mortar coordination impairments, any brain or spinal cord injuries.
Very helpful with that. Whether a person has chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia really means something else. True diagnosis of fibromyalgia is you’ve been assessed, you’ve had blood work and imaging done of where you have pain and the imaging and the labs come back normal. Then, they give you the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. They have to rule out arthritis, lupus and all other inflammatory conditions before your giving fibromyalgia. What I’m seeing is a lot of lazy, sloppy doctors just slapping the title. You have fibromyalgia because you have pain. But I’ll tell you the one thing that I see a big correlation between people who have fibromyalgia consistently. If we ask these patients, Tell me about your childhood. Tell me about the trauma you’ve had. They all have deep trauma rooted in their body and their nervous system. This pain is so mad, emotional pain that hasn’t left their body.
We’re going to talk about all of that, what that means, and give people hope that you can heal through these things. TMJ syndrome, look, a lot of people, they’re constantly just clenching down their jaws, whether they’re aware of it or not. We hold a lot of stress and tension here. Anytime you hold back on speaking your truth or whatever you want to say because you’re afraid of hurting someone’s feelings, or you’d rather just keep the peace your TMJ here, you’ll feel it in your face. I see a lot of tension in the jaw, shoulders, and neck areas in people, especially women, and especially in women. Also, you can use craniosacral therapy and children with ADHD/ADD and autism. I’ve helped several children with these conditions and it really helps their nervous system to downregulate and be more imbalanced. Any learning disabilities, PTSD, it’s great for that too.
Any orthopedic problems. I’ve seen craniosacral therapy be great for people with seizures. This is something that most people can benefit from. It’s not a massage. Let’s just get that off the table. It is not a massage. It is a therapy that’s working on different structures and the person has to be properly trained to, I always say people, I listen with my fingertips. I listen with my hands, not with my ears or my brain. The best therapists are able to shut their minds off and not be so analytical because we’re analyzing with our hands. I truly believe that God has anointed some people to have the healing power of touch and to feel through touch. And so it’s our hands that can pick up very subtle things that the body is trying to tell us.
There’s an intelligence in the body. God created the body so intelligent that it will communicate to us things if we listen. Unfortunately, we live in a culture in which we’re not taught to listen to our bodies. We’re taught the opposite. Don’t listen to your feelings; don’t listen to that. Just keep going, keep going. We got to keep going. We’ll discuss that in a little bit more detail. But craniosacral is working on many, many, many structures here. One of the things that I have learned through my training and education, and I had a really great anatomy and physiology teacher. He was amazing. He was a chiropractor, and he said, If there’s one thing in my class I want you to walk away and never forget, it’s these two words: structure and function. The structure of our body affects the function of the body.
So if there’s something misaligned, it’s going to tweak things that it’s not going to send the right information. Now the function changes and sometimes the function can change and it can throw off a structure as well. These two things structure the physical structure and the function of the body, they go hand in hand. We oftentimes, especially your primary care doctor, don’t even do physical exams anymore. They’re definitely not going to do this work on you. No one is looking at the physical structures. Is your spine aligned well? Is there a nerve that’s impinged? I get a lot of people who have carpal tunnel or they claim they have carpal tunnel and some of them have surgery and they still have the numbness and tingling in their hand. Guess what? The problem was not in the wrist. The problem could have been in the brachial plexus area, which is in the shoulder area, the anterior part, or it could be coming from your cervical spine.
Yeah, your neck. Oftentimes, I find that the problem is in the neck or the thoracic outlet area, not the wrist. If you don’t understand the structure of your body, you’re not going to understand the function. Every doctor learns anatomy and physiology. Somebody was not paying attention in class. I was, and I’m very interested in the physical part of our body, but I started to really dive deep into my studies on what this shows up emotionally and spiritually in our soul. I came about learning about craniosacral therapy while I was in my first and second year, the beginning of my second year in medical school, and I caught this virus and I had these lingering headaches that it just would never go away. The headache was never-ending. I was going on 45 days with the headache.
I was super fatigued for the first time in my life, I caught the Epstein Barr virus in medical school. It was going around in my class. Many people got it. My naturopathic doctor said you should get some craniosacral therapy done. I’m like, okay. I went and found someone at her clinic. The school that I went to had a clinic, a student clinic, and there was one student in the whole school that did this, and she was treating me. She takes two of her fingers and puts it on my nasal bone right at the bridge of it and one on my forehead and does a soft gentle release on my nasal bone. I felt okay. My head opened up, and the headache was gone. Not only was the headache gone, I felt all this energy. I felt so much better. I turned to her and asked, What did you just do?
Where did you learn to do this? I must learn that therapy, too. So she recommended looking into Up Ledger Institute, which I did within months. I was in their first class and I’ve done over 20 courses with them to learn many different techniques to do that. Immediately while I was in school, I would practice this therapy on everyone who let me do the therapy on them because I wanted to get a lot of training exposure, a lot of experience sensitizing my hands and what I was feeling to become so good at it that when I was done with medical school, I would hit the ground running and start using it with my patients. When I started my practice, I felt this hesitation. I thought people were going to think this is weird. They’re going to think, what is she doing?
I just really trusted I would pray and ask God just to give me the confidence that I need it. I started doing the therapy and offering it to people, and people started giving me feedback and saying, Oh my God, I feel so much lighter. The pain is gone. I feel so much better. I continue to do more of this therapy with my patients and my clinic. What I started to see as I got trained in this is a lot of somatic emotional release. What is Somato Emotional release? This is a process in which people will release any residual emotions and traumas that are stuck and trapped in the body. Now, I know that a lot of you, this is really stretching you out and you’re like, that’s not possible. That’s not even possible. The reason you think it’s not possible is that you don’t understand how the body works.
So we have this, I mentioned it earlier, I talked about fascia. Fascia is like when you cut chicken, that thin layer that’s on the meat, that’s fascia. It’s like this thin cobweb feel like it just appearance. That is what fascia and fascia surround every organ, every muscle, every vein. It keeps things in their place. It’s a protective mechanism. Now, how amazing, think about this, how amazing is the creator of this that he created this tissue that seems like it has no purpose but has a huge purpose and it’s meant to keep things in place to provide and give structure to protect and encapsulate. So it’s a connective tissue that surrounds and holds these organs in place. Now, this fascia, it has an electrical charge to it, meaning there’s an energy component to that. I know even using the word energy in Christianity, people lose their mind because I get it, there’s all this new age stuff, but that’s not what I’m referring to.
Your nervous system has an electrical charge. It’s electricity. It’s the fastest movement of information from one place to another. There’s nothing that works as efficiently as our nervous system. Think about this. If I stub my toe, how quick does that area of my foot relay information to my brain that I’ve just been hurt? Or if I put my hand over a hot stove and I burn myself, immediately there’s information that’s being sent from my hand to my brain and from my brain back to my hand to say, remove your hand. You’re getting burned. This is the problem with people who have diabetic neuropathy: they don’t feel that their sensory function is decreased in their extremities. So they can hurt themselves and not even know they’re hurt. They can step on a nail on their foot, and they wouldn’t even know they’re hurt because they don’t feel that’s a problem. Then that injury becomes infected and they don’t tend to it, and there’s not enough information being sent there to heal and repair.
That’s what our nervous system does. It’s firing rapid information at very high rates. This fascia that surrounds the organs protects them. Now, we’re going to use the example of a car accident. Your rear ended, your body moves is shifted because of the impact your fascia and your body. Guess what it does? It constricts. It tightens up and it tenses up to what? To protect your organs, to protect everything that it’s surrounding. It’s protecting and defending it. But sometimes in that experience, people experience something. This is where it gets a little mystical. Where do we experience? Is it just in our brain or does the soul also experience that trauma? Now, the emotions that are elicited from this experience, we feel it. We don’t have control of where it goes, but we feel that experience. There’s fear maybe, right? Most of the time it’s fear.
Maybe after you get out of the car, you’re upset because someone hits you. So these emotions get trapped in the body. The same goes for any other trauma. If you’ve been abusive, any sort of abuse, verbal, physical, sexual abuse, there’s trauma. But it is not just impacting your physical body, it’s also impacting your soul. Oftentimes when there is a healing release of a tissue, people will be on the table, and they’ll tell me, I feel like I’m going to cry. I’ll guide them through that process and say, it’s okay. Take a deep breath in and exhale and just let it go. Letting go of me be crying and may not be crying, but just being intentional about releasing the emotion they’re feeling is very important. That emotion can be fear, anger, resentment, sadness, or there are parts of our bodies that certain emotions just tend to get trapped in.
It’s not unusual that I’ll go to the center part of a person’s chest and push on that area and people will feel very emotional. That, to me, tells me that they have been holding on to a lot of emotions for a very long time. They have not processed it, whether it’s through therapy or counseling. They haven’t processed it at all. They’ve just been going and going, and the body’s been acquiring all of this, and now I’ve pushed like a button and it’s wanting to come out. It’s better for all of this to be released and be let go than for it to sit in our body and create health issues later on. So, like I said, the body has this electrical potential that changes the patient’s body and the emotions are stored in organs and tissues and even cells in the body.
I have a lot of really neat stories. If I get a chance to share some of them at the end, I will, because it’s very interesting that I will have someone in an IV and it’s helping the mitochondria, the IVs intended for their mitochondria, and they get emotional, and it’s almost like a therapeutic visit for them. It is because their cells release some of these emotions and traumas. I tell people, don’t try to process it with your brain, your mind, just let it go. Just let the body release it. So like I said, many traumatic events, fear, guilt, shame and guilt are big ones. Anger is big, and people tend to hold on in their bodies. And the body just soaks in all these emotions guys. Over time, it does create injury to the physical body. There’s been a lot.
It’s been a lot that we’re talking here, and we’re going deeper because as these emotions get trapped, we know that they start to affect the way the body is functioning, the structure and the function of it. It starts to really affect that. I want to talk about going into more of the spiritual side. I’m not an expert at this by any means. If you have a better perspective, please share it with me. I am open to getting feedback and hearing from someone else who’s well-versed. I’ve been praying a lot on this for many years, and my prayers consists of asking, God, show me the anatomy, the physiology, the structure and the function of the soul and of the spirit if you think I’m worthy even to get a glimpse of it, to help teach your people to be better stewards of their body, their soul, and their spirit.
Let me see some of that if you think I’m worthy of it because, once again, I’m a nobody. I have not studied theology. The reality is it doesn’t matter how much you study, there are just some things that we don’t know. There are some things that science and medicine have not been able to unveil and understand, and we never will because that’s not God’s will for us. Because if we’re trying to understand all of these things, then we’re trying to be like God. There’s a little bit of a mystery that’s left there for us to have faith and trust in him. I always tell my patients and friends and people that I know that I thank God for forgiving me; it is such a beautiful gift of faith. I have a gift of faith that I don’t need anyone to prove that God is real. I’ve always believed God is real.
While I love to see debates online of theology and different, I love looking at that aspect of the debate debating between this theology and that theology and these perspectives. I love that, but I don’t need that. I don’t need that to know that God is real. God has shown himself to me in many ways to prove that he is real. But I love to go into that. One of the things that I have been working a lot with, we’re going to transition here, has been working with helping people with trauma. It doesn’t matter what kind of trauma it is, whether it’s been physical abuse, psychological abuse or emotional abuse or sexual abuse, whatever kind of trauma that they’ve experienced. It’s not just a trauma that’s happening to the brain and the physical body that would be actually easier to repair. But what I’m seeing and understanding and comprehending is that the trauma really happens to the soul.
There, the soul gets fractured. I want to clear up because I always hear people using spirit and soul interchangeably and they’re not the same. As we reference the Bible in one Thessalonians 5:23, the word says, now, may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved, blamelessly, blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He’s referring to the whole spirit and soul and body. The soul and the spirit are not the same. Lord, tell me then, what is the difference between the soul and the spirit, right? In Hebrews 4:12, the word says, for the word of God is living and powerful. Iin the Bible, the word refers to God as the word, the living word.
Here it says, the word of God is living. So it has life in there and there’s power in there, and it’s sharper than a two-edged sword piercing even the division of soul and spirit. So this lets me know the soul and spirit are not the same. They’re not to be used interchangeably. They are two different parts of who we are. It goes on to say of the joints and marrow. As a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart, there’s a lot to unpack here. This lets me know the power of the healing that God has because if his word has the ability to divide the soul in the spirit, the joints in the marrow, that means he can reverse any disease that’s in your physical body. Please listen. His word has the power and authority to heal any physical ailment in your physical body, in your soul, in your spirit.
His word is living in a life to be able for you to discern, to help you discern your thoughts and the intents of the heart. Sometimes, oftentimes, most of the time in our world that’s fallen and broken, our thoughts and our hearts are deceiving us from the truth. There is one truth, not your truth and my truth, I want to talk about truth. There have been times in my life that the way I feel my truth is is not holy. It’s not with integrity. If someone hurts my child, I immediately want to act out of violence that’s holy. That’s not okay. Just because I truly feel like hurting someone who hurt my child because I’m a mom doesn’t make it right. It doesn’t make my truth. So we need to be able to discern our thoughts and the intents of the heart. This is how powerful the word of God is. But if we can continue to maintain ourselves ignorant and naive and blind to understanding his word and the power of his word, and his word means a lot, it’s that we are able to find healing. The point really here is that it’s dividing the soul in the spirit. So that means that we have these parts of who we are.
I hear people oftentimes using them interchangeably, but they’re not. I once heard this pastor say something that I will never forget, and I loved it. He said the spirit is that part. I mean, we all belong to God, whether you like him or accept him or not, but the spirit is the part that belongs to God that no one can hurt or touch. No one can hurt your spirit. It can hurt you physically. Your soul can be fragmented and injured through trauma, but the spirit, no one can harm and touch. I want to go over the importance of understanding you might have been hurt physically, your soul might have been hurt, or you might have been spiritually hurt, but no one can touch your spirit and it is your spirit that actually gives you the strength to get through life.
I’ve got so excited here that I scroll down my page here. Okay, so there are some other scriptures that I want to get to because it’s very important that we understand this to heal holistically. I hear a lot of practitioners of all sorts, not necessarily doctors. It could be massage therapists or counselors or coaches. They that they help people heal the mind, the body and soul or the mind, the body and the spirit. I always ask people, how do you heal the spirit? I just stay quiet. How do you heal the spirit? How do you heal the soul?
Medications are, we’re going to throw some anti-psychotic drugs, pain medications, not even plant medicine, not homeopathy, not nutrition. None of those things are going to heal the soul and the spirit. So anyone who says that they can do that, it’s not truthful. Only God can heal those things. As a doctor, I’ve seen people heal through the trauma that’s causing their soul, it’s not me. It’s between the person and God. It’s very difficult for you to heal through something if you don’t believe in God. How? I mean, if you don’t believe in him, why are you asking him to heal you? But sometimes, he’s so graceful and his mercy is so great, and his grace comes upon us that he will bring healing to us, to help us believe that he is real and that he is present in our lives. In Proverbs, we’re going to go to Proverbs 17:22. A merry heart does good like medicine. Listen, a merry heart does good like medicine. So what we need as medicine is to have a merry heart, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
We need to work on this spirit part of us because no matter how much attention and how much you’re doing to the physical structures, the spirit, the soul need to be nourished as well. We cannot neglect these parts of who we are because of ignorance, because no one has taught us. No one talked to us about it. We need to start searching. The next one is Proverbs 18:14. The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? So it’s saying here that if our spirit is strong, it’ll carry us through anything. That is true. I can testify this to be true in my life. When I was 27 years old and I found myself eventually getting to a doctor’s office, I always used to say, I feel like my spirit is dragging my body around.
It was the strength, the resiliency of my spirit that kept me going, not my physical body. My physical body was shutting down. This is true when I have a lot of people in my practice that have chronic diseases. They say this, they feel like they’re dragging along like they physically can’t, but it is the resiliency of their spirit that keeps them going. So we need to address these parts, like I said, of who we are and continue to grow spiritually and through God’s word, not just some hokey pokey, new age energy stuff. All of those things have been taken from the Bible, though they’ve been stolen from this book. Remember, I did not grow up religious. So I’m not telling you from a religious spirit, I’m telling you, because God led me to his word, God led me to his word to see that new age has stolen the terminology, the concepts, and they’ve just removed God out of the way.
They removed Jesus from their equation to fit their mold and to fit their truth so they could manifest and have the things that made them happy. But you know what I’ve seen of every new age person, they’re mentally unstable, they’re not happy, they’re not. There’s no sustenance that holds them. They’re not rooted in something that’s truthful, that’s been forever from the beginning of time. They end up having a lot of psychiatric issues because it’s not rooted in any truth. I’m not here to judge anyone. You can live your life however you want. But I’ll tell you this, People end up in dizzy and they end up desperate and they’re searching all in the wrong places. Your solution is right here is to humble yourself and understand God’s word and God’s teaching because that’s where you’re really going to find some amazing.
You just don’t want to heal physically. You want to restore your relationship with God and your soul and be in alignment with his teachings. This is Psalms 38:3 12. There’s no soundness in my flesh. I want you to think about this. Someone who’s really sick, not feeling well out there. There’s no soundness in my flesh because of your anger, nor any health in my bones, because of my sin for my inequities have gone over my head like a heavy burden. They are too heavy for me. My wounds are foul and festering because of my foolishness. Yes, sometimes we make foolish mistakes, whether we did them or our family members did them. But foolish mistakes are made. I’m troubled. I am bowed down greatly. I’m mourning all day long for my loins are full of inflammation. The word inflammation is in the Bible.
Go to it. Psalms 38, 7 for my loins are full of inflammation and there’s no soundness in my flesh. I am feeble, severely broken. I groan because of the turmoil of my heart, my heart pants, my strength fails me. The light of my eyes is also as gone from me. You can see that when people are chronically ill and debilitated, there’s no light in their eyes, their skin looks different, they’re feeble, and their strength is gone. It’s failing them. This is where people come to the mercy of, let me go outside of conventional medicine because these doctors aren’t listening to me. They’re not going to listen to you. They’re just going to throw a pill at you and move on to the next person. But it is your responsibility as an individual to be informed in God’s word and find healing and find the right people who are going to help you in that process. We’re going to get more into how I address these things as individually. Psalms 34, I already read this.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart. So this is Psalms 34, 18 through 22. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and save and save such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. So he’s the one who delivers people out of their ailments of their hurt, and he guards all his bones. There’s a lot of talk about bones in this Bible. Not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate righteousness shall be condemned. The Lord redeems the soul of his servants and none of those who trust in him shall be condemned. Once again, the Lord redeems the soul. The last verse, Psalms 23, is very well-known Psalm, but I want to point out to the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures. sometimes the Lord makes you lay down because you’re going too fast, you’re doing too much. He’s like, Hey, just slow down. Lay down right here. He leaves me beside the still waters. Now we know the still waters, the living waters, is his spirit, and sometimes we need to sit beside him and let the Holy Spirit come in. In verse three, he restores my soul. Who restores your soul? Not your doctor, not your therapist. No one else who restores your soul, not your pastor, not your neighbor, not the crystal, not the Ouija board, not any book, not any self-help book restores your soul. He the Lord, the shepherd restores your soul. And so with that, when we are talking about the soul healing, oftentimes we’re giving the physical body a lot of attention, but it’s not in the physical body, it’s in your soul.
Because we don’t know how that fully works, only the one who made the soul, who created the soul can heal it and restore it. I know it’s not what some of you want to hear. You want the magic pill or the combination of herbs and homeopathics that can help. But what I’ve seen in people is that oftentimes when they come into my office, they’re full of symptoms. I can see through their story, through their relationship, and through hearing them out that the traumas they experienced fractured their souls. That’s where we need the healing. As humans, we can help each other by praying and we pray over that person with the intention of God, restoring the wounds, those specific wounds that they’ve shared with me. I pray into that space and pray and ask God, Jesus, restore this wounded heart from this person who experiences sexual abuse, who’ve experienced this verbal abuse or this physical abuse.
Pray into the areas of hurt, pray into the fear, the anxiety, pray into the abandonment issues that they have their insecurities to help restore their soul again. The person needs to make an effort to do this intentionally and praying into these parts of who they are to be restored because the spirit is not fractured. The spirit is this higher human spirit, which everyone has, whether you want to believe in God or not, whether you want to accept Jesus or not, everyone has the human spirit. The difference between someone who does believe in God and someone who doesn’t is the wifi connection that your cell phone has to the internet in your area. People who believe in God have a stronger spiritual connection to God. These are the people that hear from God and see God and are moved and they feel, and they’re just intuitive about what they need to do because God is speaking into the connection that is strong in their spirit with God.
There are a lot of people walking around with weak signals, right? They’re walking around with weak spiritual wifi signals. They don’t want to acknowledge that God is real. Can you imagine a baby telling its mother? I don’t believe you’re real. You’re not real. You’re not my mother. It’s foolishness to think that we don’t have a God that created us. I’m going to speak to this as well, because oftentimes I hear people, I ask people, do you believe in God? They’ll say, well, no, but I believe in the universe. Wow, you believe in the universe, but you don’t believe in the God who created the universe, the universe, the earth, the rocks, the water, all of nature, all the animals, the stars and the moon. All these beautiful things that we enjoy are God’s creation. And you and I are God’s creation and we cannot idolize God’s creation.
It is an offense to God’s face. So we want to talk about where disease comes from. When God formed the world and created everything in the world, including us, he created everything with structure, function, order, and things to flow and work with ease. I was talking to a mentor early of mine earlier today, and he says, the universe does what it needs to do. Everything is synchronized just perfectly because God is making that work. What is making every cell in your body work? People will say, well, my brain, yeah, but what’s making your brain do that? Well, it’s my genetics. Well, what’s tenetics? Where’s that coming from? Where’s this mysterious power coming from? Is the spirit and this spirit comes from God in that naturopathic medicine; they call it the vital force. I call it the Holy Spirit, God’s spirit that’s in us that makes this body function and operate.
Because the reality is, if you and I had to make the millions and trillions of decisions that the physical body is doing on its own, without you consciously making an effort to make those decisions of this blood cell is going to do that, and this, we would die in a split second, guys, we wouldn’t survive. If we had to make these decisions, we would not live. Why are you trying to make all the decisions in your life? You think you have the solution to everything? We don’t. So if you’re trying to figure out all of these things on your own and not rely on God, you’re going to find yourself in great states of dizzy dysfunction and disorder because we are not aligned to the way he created us to be. So I want you to understand that oftentimes the disease is not happening in the physical body.
It’s happening at the soul. If the soul is not aligned within yourself to have a balance and harmony and it’s not an alignment resonating with your outside environment and world, it creates this imbalance and it creates fractures to the soul that start to show up and manifest physically as signs of illness. We need to stop referring to cancer and chronic disease diagnoses. Like if it’s a person, I see a lot of movements of F cancer and my battle against cancer. It’s a person, it’s not a person. It’s a process. There was a process that somewhere in your body, something was off. Now, there are some things that do happen physically, and a doctor who understands the spiritual component will be able to see this is a physical thing. You were exposed to heavy metals, and so now it’s creating disease in your body.
We need to detox you from that. We can do that. But then there’s a lot of things that are happening at the soul level, and a lot of people are just not informed. And we don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to do. I know to pray. I know to pray. If the person is open to it, then the process will be a lot easier to do. Maybe you’re hearing this episode and you’re finding yourself in a situation where you’re just overwhelmed. You’ve gone to many doctors, you’ve gone to many people, you’ve been prayed for maybe in your church and you’re still not getting healing. Well, maybe there are some things that you need to physically address and you need to find out what that is. Are there hormone imbalances? Is there something that’s off that your body needs to be balanced back?
Let’s work on the physical structure so that you can have a little bit more energy and focus on soul healing, right? The physical body is the temple. If the temple is not strong and you start doing that deeper work, you’re going to fall apart. That’s what I see. You want to make sure that the physical body is able to sustain some of the deeper work that you’re going to go as you start to heal through some of the trauma. Look, I’ve worked with a lot of people who have experienced sexual abuse, and it’s very difficult. People need to feel safe. They need to feel heard, and they need to have hope that they can recover and overcome that, and only God can help them. Only God can restore their soul. He is the restoration of people’s souls. I hope that this message has left you with hope, that maybe the physical things are not so physical, maybe it’s soul work that you need to focus on.
I just want to pray over you, and I want to pray over people listening to this message today, Lord, that if people who are watching this or listening to this, if they don’t believe in you, God, that you make your presence known to them right now, and that you show up in their life in some supernatural magical way, that there’s absolutely no way that they can doubt that you are real, just the same way that you’ve made yourself present in my life through difficult times and show miraculous moments. I ask that you make a miracle that you show your people whether they believe in you or not. Give them a miracle. Heal them, touch their physical body, minds, spirit, and soul. So they can be restored back to the original design that you designed them to be, and that they may be a vessel for you, that they give you the glory, they give you the credit, and that they go out there and help other people to heal and restore.
Because if we live in a time that there are way too many people who are sick physically with mental illness, and really what they need is, Lord, they need their souls restored. So I pray the restorer of souls restores everyone who is listening to this message and increases their faith and their trust and their obedience in you, and that they’re so eager that they go by a Bible, grab a Bible and start learning and reading it and praying for you, for your guidance. So hey guys, I hope that you have enjoyed this episode. It’s meant with good intentions because I don’t believe people should be in the darkness when it comes to healing. So if you feel, why am I not healing? There’s something deeper that needs to be healed. And if you think you’ve forgiven, if you think you have healed, maybe it’s time to go even deeper.
